Radio Bilingüe

In the fall of 2017, True North leaders teamed up with Humboldt Area Foundation, Humboldt State University and other community groups to communicate the need for a bilingual radio station here on the north coast. Without programming in Spanish, Spanish-speaking residents (an estimated 15,000+ in Humboldt County and 20% of Del Norte County's population) miss out on the news, emergency communications, community calendars, talk radio and music that English-speaking residents enjoy every day.

Radio Bilingüe was brought to Coastal Humboldt County in September, and was soon expanded to include communities from Brookings in the north to Fortuna in the south.
